Acorn Factor is a holding company that invests in companies that leverage information rich solutions to address our global energy and climate crisis. When the Acorn Factor's CEO, John Moore, approached us shortly after taking leadership of the company, it was called DSSI. It had varied holdings, a fuzzy identity, and no clear marketing or corporate communications strategy. Our charge: to help Moore rename the company and develop its positioning and identity, then implement them in key materials and media. The name Acorn Factor reflects the company's focus on investing in emerging companies and helping them grow, and the company was repositioned to its current focus on funding and accelerating emerging energy ventures. We designed the new logo and visual identity, forms and stationery, collateral materials, corporate presentation deck, and website.
